Dr. Kara is a family nurse practitioner who provides general medical care and in two specific areas of integrative healthcare: weight loss without gimmicks and the true cause of many chronic illnesses: chronic inflammation. Treatments will include food as medicine using the field of nutrigenomics and a variety of herbal remedies and stress reduction methods. She also maintains traditional care methods and prescriptive privileges granted by the state of Utah.
You are not a chart number, but a real person with real health needs.
Great relationships are a two way street based on mutual respect and trust. Dr. Kara left all insurances behind because she wanted to focus on real people, not paperwork or government-driven regulations that have very little to do with quality health care.
Think of having the best of both worlds: modern, research-based information and decision-making with the personable delivery of services from someone who genuinely likes her clients, prays for them, and offers the best she has to give.
In return she asks for courtesy in prompt payment of services, not asking for inappropriate antibiotics or practices, asking "by-the-way" questions that are outside of a consultation or visit. You can expect a quick follow up phone call to check on your progress after the visit as a courtesy, but new questions or concerns should be done within a Telemedicine appointment.
Dr. Kara is a kind professional, so be mindful of the fact she spent $250,000 of her own paychecks as an RN over 25 years to earn 14 years of college education and multiple degrees to be the provider you know and love.
